Temperature shock testing with variable transfer time

Carrying out temperature change tests with rapid temperature changes to speed up aging processes

In the temperature shock test (temperature change with fixed transfer time), the test specimens are first stored at a temperature (e.g. -40°C) until a stable condition is reached, and then immediately transferred to the already pre-tempered second chamber (e.g. +85°C) to be transferred.

The transfer time between the temperatures is precisely defined. Influences of different expansion coefficients or, for example, the cold start behaviour on the car can be shown here. The temperature shock tests can be used to determine the effects of strong and frequent temperature changes on a test specimen.

AKUVIB works with a temperature shock system according to the 2-chamber principle and thus offers reproducible tests.

The temperature stress results in a rapid ageing process, which makes the effects visible over the service life.
