AKUVIB carries out the determination and assessment of the risk of noise immissions in companies in accordance with the Occupational Health and Safety Ordinance

Noise measurements at the workplace can be used to identify areas with increased noise exposure and mark them by means of noise register maps. Often, in addition to the measurement, advice on noise reduction is also necessary.

Considering the given boundary conditions (e.g. manufacturing and economic aspects), AKUVIB advises you with regard to acoustic optimisation.

Suggestions for low-noise design of machines and aggregates are just as possible as the specification of secondary sound insulation measures or changes in the reflection of walls.

In the past few years, a lot has changed in the field of legislation on noise exposure at the workplace. The Directive RL 2003/10/EC “Noise” stipulates new and preventive action and exposure limit values for workplace noise. The previous upper and lower action values have been lowered.

Within the framework of the risk assessment according to § 5 of the Occupational Health and Safety Act, every employer must determine whether employees are or may be exposed to noise . A number of measures must be taken as soon as the lower exposure action values are reached or exceeded.

We can assist you with the following services:

  • Sound level measurement at the workplace
  • Measurement of the radiated sound power of machines
  • Determination of the interior level of factory halls
  • Preparation of noise register maps in the workplace and outside area
  • Drawing up noise register maps in the factory and outside areas
  • Calculation of various noise reduction options
  • Advice on the selection of suitable manufacturers
  • Verification of implementation
