When materials bloom, surface waves are generated which can be localised by means of acoustic emission. This enables AKUVIB to locate corrosion even in inaccessible places.

Leakages in pipelines or incipient corrosion can be localised using the acoustic emission method. Repeated tests can show the progression of damage.
